Post Does the Chief of Defence Staff know there's an Air Force?

Saw this in the Sunday Times:

"Black generals, lesbian admirals and cockney-speaking officers of the same rank - all this will happen, I've no doubt"

Does [Admiral] Sir Michael Boyce remember what an Air Marshal does or is he seeking more Naval appointments to RAF commands? Or does he merely think RAF less likely to promote black lesbian cockneys? [Well, who would? Not with that accent anyway ]

Air Marshal? Isn't the civilian equiv a CEO? You know the bloke's who get huge bonuses and have their noses in the trough whilst presiding over the demise of a once proud company, bit like Marconi

As an aside. the collective noun for a group of Air Marshals is a 'bidet' - they add class, but no-one knows what they are for!

Nice one Flatiron.

As another aside, the collective noun for politicians...

A Lack of Principles.

A Lie of Politicians?

A Panic of Pilot Officers.
A Skive of Flying Officers.
A Winge of Flight Lieutenants.
A Career of Squadron Leaders.
A Round of Wing Commanders.

A confusion of co-pilots
A misplot of navigators

A thicket of Rocks.
A flap of Wing Commanders.
A squabble of Squadron Leaders.
A gross of beancounters.

No. Senior officers must have sufficient posts so everyone can have a career.

A glut of Squadron Leaders
A smugness of Wing Commanders
An arselick of Group Captains
A remainder of Air Commodores
A pride of AVMs
A fluke of Air Marshals
A snub of Air Chiefs Marshal
A miracle of Marshals of the RAF
A shortage of pilots
