Lightbulb Vote to ban Admin Guru

He's provided entertainment, spelling corrections and upset a lot of people. Should we keep him or ban him? Does he stimulate good debate or just wind people up? You decide! Add your vote to this thread. Note that I can't take any action on the results, but maybe someone reading them can. Personally I think AG has gone too far, and not done the RAF (or himself)any favours by broadcasting his insulting comments on a public web site. That's what Friday nights and happy hours are for! Anyway, three cheers for free speech and all that sort of thing <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I vote to keep AG, he's kept this forum going for months. I haven't giggled so much since the female loadie took out the 'remove before flight' pins from the sidewinders on the back of a Herc!!

Let's face it, we don't need to do ISS when AG is around 'cos he corrects all our mistakes!

No, keep AG but let's not take him so chuffing seriously!!

It wasn't a herc it was a VC10. When she arrived at Ascension and presented the pins to the movers there the reply was "You took them out you can put them back". This was said whilst removing themselves smartly from the scene.

No, he should neither be removed or given his own forum, (something he has already claimed he has, many, many times), he should be allowed to post and thereby allowed to make a complete ass of himself.

If you don't like the prat, ignore him.

Banning free speach seems an odd idea from the defenders of democracy!

No, don't ban him/her. He/she has provided more humour than most and certainly extracted members of the forum from behind their desks.

If any should be banned, it should be those who resorted to personal abuse of AG and purile name calling. He/she retaliated with some of the same, I know, but I like him/her.

Freedom for the AG One!

Ban Admin Guru? To what end? If you get rid of him, you'll simply unleash Admin Guru II: Return of the Dummy. Besides, he does produce the occasional gem.

I'm deeply dissapointed. Despite a second forum being created in my name (note it's not 'my' Forum because I didn't start it,) it seems that some people take the internet too seriously and feel it is their place to quosh freedom of speech. I appeal to the hearts and minds of all - I'm only posting my opinions; which are hardly too outlandish (see the Para story in JetBlast.)

EngO - If you hadn't noticed, there are several unservicable aircraft out there that need your attention. Why so bitter - didn't you pass the Admin trg course at Halton? . .Poison Arrow - thanks for the vote of confidence. Same to Ralf Wiggum. Glad to see you guys are open minded enough to see both sides of my arguments.

(Ed Winchester - if you're reading this, feel free to exercise your right not to post.)

After another happy hour I am now considering my newest Forum, but I am still thinking of the title. Inspiration will strike before the end of the week.. .(By the way 6nandneutral I'm on leave today.)

Angry

AG

'Quosh' = brand of sickly orange- or other citrus-flavoured cordial.

Try

'quash' as in 'to quash a verdict'.

Get a life fella . You got nothing better to do than go thro an Adminer`s post looking for errors ? Do you realise how sad you are coming across to others on this topic for doing that ?

Have some pride mate.

No, don't ban him, cos like it or not we are in fact here to defend civil liberties such as the freedom of speech, regardless of how some chose to use it.

AG, get on with your job quietly and let everyone else get on with theirs. You never know, you might actually begin to enjoy it!. .If you really dislike Aircrew that much then I suggest you don't associate with them.

Now its back to writing 10,000 correctly spelt words for my dissertation.. .Toodle-pip!

Keep the "Guru"! . .A hilarious tosser of the highest degree. He has added to an otherwise boring last few months on the Prune.

AG is a must. His opinion is valued as much as anyone else's.

Perhaps in SHQ anyway.

What's the score AG? You are a champion and probably a record breaker. It must be over 500 replies by now.. .In fact, if there was a talking axxe event at Salt Lake I'm sure you'd bring one home for Blighty.

Nah, dont ban AAG. He may be a complete to**er but at least he makes us laugh and we can flame him with impunity knowing no one else will flame us for doing so.

Keep him, the Guvnor has been quiet lately so who can we pick on?
