Admin Guru,
Could I just offer a bit of advice?. .Even if you are who you claim to be, you are obviously brand new to the air force and should be a little careful about expressing views when you will certainly find several experts on any subject on this forum.
If you want to know about the capabilities of the F3, or any other type, then please visit a squadron. The aircrew like showing off (obviously) and will usually be more than happy to give you a brief on their aircraft. Otherwise you are just spouting ill informed crap.
By the way, the F3 blue circle radar thing is at least 15 years out of date - things have moved on a bit since then.
Look forward to hearing from you <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Although having "retired", during the clearout of 1995,I well recall an incident in the 80s where we were retasked from an RAF airfield to a Civilian Airfield to accommodate a task involving Foreign VIPs. This required the crew going into "crew rest" to enable us to fulfill crew duty requirments.
I remember that I had to pay the bill on my own credit card as we did not have an imprest.
The subsequent claim was turned down by the Admin Branch on the grounds that " there is nothing in QRs that allows Aircrew to sleep during the day".
I was subsequently informed that it took the intervention of SASO for me to be reimbursred

Admin guru you are revealed. A bloody aircrew wannabe. Arrgh, you have played right into their hands, fuelling the misconcpetion we are all OASC/retread failures! I will now be filling in all my 1771's erronously in a bid to increase your workload. Be 'blunt' (what ever that means) and proud, or don't bother at all.
