Unhappy

Regret to inform you that Merv Paine died (heart attack) in April this year. Jacqui continues to live in France.

Many thanks folks. Bad news, but thanks anyway. Yes please, it would be nice to send my thoughts to Jacqui.

Very sorry to hear about Merv's passing. I do hope that Jacqui is coping.

Merv was in charge of the F4 course I did at CGY some years ago. A charismatic and understanding chap whose diplomatic encouragement encouraged the course students far more than the usual hectoring abuse received from others in those times. His friendly smile and 'cool' style were very individual and he'll be greatly missed.

Apologies if my bantering CF104 comments seem inappropriate in the circumstances.
