Jumpin' Ship
Wotcha peeps. There's a FNG in town. Just thought I'd get some feedback...
Time has come to leave the Service (ahem, a little early - it's been fantastic but it's just time to do something else) and wanted to know if anyone who has done the same has any regrets, or know any stories of people who have? We've all heard about the guy who knew a bloke whose mate left Airline A to come back in, but I've never met any...
TTFN
PS - Nope, I don't have any doubts. Just seemed a gratuitous way of posting my first subject.
PPS - Greetings, Brown Bottle...

Aaaah. Bless. Not enough job offers you jammy git? I've heard its crap in the real world. Too much money, not enough time away from home, treated like adults and not lead by gibbons. You wont like it. Unfortunately my world is much better. Its the voices you see?

Sure the F3 chap wasn't one of those Reserve type people, or did he come back properly? Some fleets seem to do the Reserve thing and others don't. Might be fun to 'keep in touch' as it were.
Didn't know you had the voices too BB! Glad it's not just me. Hope life is providing the usual jolly japes! Drop us a line sometime.

Or perhaps...
He left, got his gratuity, pension and rejoined on the same pay as he left on.
Plenty of guys doing that now, coming back as full time reservists. What incentive is there to stay in as a regular when the RAF will pay you to leave but gives you peanuts to stay in?

A friend of mine is about to jump ship, and has talked to the CAA about the next step. If anyone is willing to help, would they email me with good tips on which training schools, courses, route to take, to achieve the JAR route to fixed wing frozen ATPL.
Many thanks in advance.

Probably a question for the Computer/Internet forum but...how did this topic, with a last post date of April 2001, get back in the list?
