Anyone got some ?
Reason is, word on the street amongst PPRUNER`s is that the Mil Aircrew forum has dried up a bit lately. Used to be that we gave out some banter that made good reading.
How bout "Let`s get all the welsh out of the RAF" ?

Hmmm, didn't a man called Sandys try and do that once?
Now then a role in the post cold war world....? To boldly go where no-one....no too cheesy. How about Special Envoys to Mr Toady Blur in his world wide effort to win friends and influence people?

We could discuss the merits of fighter-bombers carrying a few guided bombs and the awesome power of a B52 strike. Puts the phrase 'quantity has a quality all of its own'.

So we'd have to relocate all the Hawks... I suppose we could reopen Chivenor!!! Heaven in Devon. Friendly locals too and you can understand them. Happiness is the V place in the rear view mirror.
But those who are posted to Y-fali these days have it much easier - there's a dual carriageway all the way back to civilisation (even though it is 't Nawth). It used to take well over an hour just to get of the island and past Bangor - now you can escape with relative ease!
Re-open 'Heaven in Devon'? Absolutely!! A fortune was spent on the place and it was the probably the best posting there was. So we threw it away by giving it to the grunts. Even Brawdy was a good place compared to V***** - so that was closed as well. So our FJ training has to be conducted on the wretched Ynys Mon - to keep some Viet Taff MP in his box, no doubt?

An hout to get off The Welsh Island? -Luxury.
On my first posting there, it took a whole day to trudge through the muddy cart tracks, fighting off the local bandits, with only a handfull of cold gravel to sustain us on the journey. You tell young people about it and they don't belive you.
Head down, look out for the flack

Cold gravel? Luxury!! We 'ad it really tough; 't local Viet Taff would drag us behind their oxen until we got to 't cliffs at 't Menai an' fling us over 't edge into 't shark filled Straits. Nowt to eat but ox dung - if we were lucky - and nobbut a sound thrashing to keep us entertained.
