EGNO BAE Warton

I was on Holiday in Blackpool earlier in the week & decided to pop over to Warton to see what was there.
On Tuesday 15/09/09 they were operating on runway 08 so the opportunity for close taxi photo's was not on the cards as i couldn't find anywhere up that end to photograph near the aircraft.
After being there an hour & a half & seeing nothing move suddenly a Hawk, PS9, DASSAULT Falcon& 3 Typhoons took off within 30 minutes of each other. Also flying were son Civvy aircraft which were in the circuit.

Here is a selection of what i got;

PIPER PA-44-180 G-BGCO

G-FRAS Dassault Falcon

Typhoon ZK304

Typhoon ZJ933 (i think??) EDIT Since been told on another forum it's ZJ938

PIPER PA-31-350 G-VIPY

JETSTREAM 3102 G-UIST

On Wednesday morning i called back for 3 hours. The Hawk from previous day Taxied up to Runway 26 (Which was Downwind) & took off, PS9 & another Hawk passed through down Runway 26 although Runway 08 was in use.

Hawk XX278

Hawk XX185

This is the first time i have been to Warton. Hit & miss as to what you get there from my experience.

Cheers For looking.

Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone have any idea why the Highland Airways aircraft is flying around with the RAF these days? Noticed it landing at Leuchars last week also.

Nice pics - not been to Warton for a while now, it's good to see that they're flying a nice variety of stuff again. Cheers

The approach path into Warton goes right past my school, so we get quite a few nice sights daily

I think I flunked my AS Maths because I spent the time watching Typhoons and all sorts going past the window...
