Cool Black flag days

Being fairly bored today (black flag). Any suggestions of things to do to pass the time - anything considered.

- Stack to the bar is too obvious, be creative.

Cool

Battle formation on bicycles used to be a favourite - especially in thick fog.

'Aintcha got an Uckers Board? Whatever happened to "Four fer Kirky?" or "Who's in for Clag" ....Play first....
Then you go to the bar!

I am of course assuming you have other squadron pals around and not "Scott Nofrenz" or "Billy Nomates" because I certainly wouldn't be suggesting you play with yourself!

Cool

Do as we did at Wittering in the mid-70's. Declare an "executive lunch" and adjourn to the bar for pre-drinks and a sit down lunch with wine etc. Then when you emerge from the Mess well fed and feeling at one with the world you can admire the bright sunshine and the 5 mile plus vis.

Great lunch, but never trust a Met man.

Well, you could do some paperwork, write a couple of reports then update all the virus software on the unit, do a bar check and battle with the out of date accounts software, write a presentation and do a few other little jobs around the place. By the time all of that is done the weather will have much improved, but you will be too kn@ckered to fly

Or........play Uckers, stack to the bar, miss dinner so head off for a curry in town, miss the last bus and spend £30 on a taxi........great

Tonks! Update the virus protection?? Do the stock checks?? When you say "do" I presume that's a term for "pass on to your favourite holding officer"...........?

If you're in Islas Malvinas you can always hang around all day getting bored waiting for just as bored aircrew to decide that the 45kt cross-wind isn't actually going to lessen so we can all go home. Oh, you all left already and forgot to tell us!

Things are always worse than they seem!

Just been introduced to the art of balancing furniture on top of coke bottles. Passes the time and confuses the hell out of people when they come back to their office. Anyone got any records for the biggest piece of furniture on a bottle 2 seat sofe is the best so far.

Thumbs up

Flt Lt Spry, a "Loonie" won't get you much these days. Minimum beer token these days is more likey to be a "Toonie".

For non-Canuckophiles that is one of those relatively new Can$2.00 coins.

Of course if you are a truckie (on grown up aeroplanes) there are NO black flag days because the weather is always good enough for you to get airborn to go somewhere nicer than where you currently are.

60m viz at BZN is not stopper when the destination is Hawaii!
