Given that it shouldn't be too hard to flat bits of Swedenland to bounce off, what is a Swedish Herc doing ploughing up bits of Wiltshire? I know Boscombe has got a Gripen to play with and a Swedish C-130 was moving the Reds about recently so what's going on here then?

If it's just come out of Marshall's why risk sending it back to Marshall's (instead of Sweden) after landing in a rabbit's warren.

Well, I suppose that Lyneham and Co have had a fair bit of experience in rough field ops. Best get some mud (rock) flaps on those cabs herrar!

So, is the Flygvapnet going to join us in a warm and sandy place, then?

The Swedes have been using their C-130s in Afghanistan for years. Since 2002 Sweden has supported and contributed military forces. The mains hubs were in Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates. C-130s were then used to fly into Mazar. Swedish C-130s are also used to support other forces in Afghanistan such as Lithuania.

Thanks. I was aware that Carl Gustavs boys (and girls ..... hej Emma! .....) were active in the sandpit, I was wondering if this Herc heralded a bigger push by the Swedes. Thanks for the link.
