Elvington Sun 19th July

In case it's not been noticed, thought this should be brought to your attention.....
(From the Lancaster Forum)

Apologies if this is in the wrong section or has been mentioned elsewhere but there is a gathering of Bomber Command veterans at the Elvington Air Museum on Sunday 19th July called Halifax versus Lancaster.

You have to pay the museum entry fee to get in and an additional fee if you want the veterans to sign anything. I noticed a leaflet for it when I was talking to F/Sgt Wop/AG Ted Cachart, 49 Sqn at Duxford on Sunday. He was telling me there will be quite a few veterans there.

Now I don't want to hear any reports of fisticuffs, just be thankful we still have some veterans left. Just be thankful they're aircrew not Army, as Gordon will be thinking of calling them back to the colours!! " I reckon a spell in a hot warm place would do wonders for your arthritis, lad...."
