Flying suit question

Afternoon all

Looking like I've managed to get myself a flight or two in a JP5 in a few weeks and need to get myself a flying suit.

I've had a quick browse online (Ebay, surplus stores etc etc) and wondered if some could A/ explain the sizing (of RAF suits) and B/ tell me how likely I am to find a nice large one available second hand? Most of those I've seen online won't even be closing to fitting I don't think!

I'm 6' tall, hardly svelte while not obese and quite broad-shouldered. I'll leave it there before it sounds like a lonely-heart ad, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

G

Dont ask about how the sizing works, everyone who ever found out had to be shot!

I'd go with the 9 from your description, the 8 would probably be too neat!

size 4-6 average height.... " / " / "
size 7-9 > @ 6' .............. v tight/tight/comfy

Good to do a bending at the knee/crouching exercise while trying on so as to ensure adequate gonad clearance!!

I'm 6' 1", 14.5 stones, and a size 8 fits fine.

Drop me a PM if you need a loan.

This may help

Size Height (cm) Chest over shirt (cm)
1 164-172 83-91
2 91-99
3 99-107
4 172-180 83-91
5 91-99
6 99-107
7 180-188 91-99
8 99-107
9 107-115
10 188 -196 94-101.5
11 101.5-109
12 109-117

Or may not! Sorry I can't get it to format. Sizes 1 4 7 10 have height, chest size is on each line.
