World War Two Brevet

Evening Ladies and Gents,

I have just returned from The RAFBF facility known as Princess Marina House
near Littlehampton on the south coast. It is a fantastic facility and I had the pleasure of chatting to a Battle of Britain Spitfire Pilot as well as a rear gunner from a Sunderland aircraft. Fascinating men with fascinating stories. However, upon looking at some of the memorabilia I came across a brevet neither I nor they recognised. It was a standard single brevet but with the letter 'M' in the middle as opposed to 'N', 'S' or 'AG'.

I simply wondered as to whether any of you more enlightened fellows might have an idea as to the owners aircrew trade.

As I have already stated it is a truly outstanding facility and just one of the many the RAFBF and RAFA currently own and run for the benefit of the RAF family. If you get the chance pop in and have a word. Some of the guests and visitors are truly inspiring.

Regards

Shandy

AFAIK wasn't the 'M' brevet awarded to Met Observers?
