Hey,
I’m doing a uni project on discipline in Britain and in particular the armed forces. I know things have recently changed in the RAF with the Minor/Major Admin Action etc but does it actually work???

Cheers

I'll help you out here. JSP 833 is where you need to look - Google - it is a Joint publication and not just RAF. I'd rather not be the one to comment to a first poster as to whether a new procedure designed for disciplinary or administrative action on personnel is effective or not. No offence like. Suggest you write to the Public Relations people for that.

I was going to reply earlier but decided to hold fire.

Based upon Mr C's advice, I suggest you write (or email) a formal request for information. You should formulate your question in simple terms so that it can be answered in an objective manner.

You might ask "When was this introduced?"

"How many cases of minor (major) actions have taken place?"

"What did these action comprise?"

"What measures are in place to measure their effectiveness?"

You can then expand on these questions to try and get a breakdown in a format that you can use. Your project would them be based on official data, properly referenced, rather than potentially uninformed or biased anecdotal evidence.
