Flt Lt Mike Hale - Ex Lightning Pilot

Afternoon all,

Was just wondering if anyone on the forum could put me in touch with Flt Lt Mike Hale, an ex-Lightning and F3 pilot. Its reference his time on the Lightning fleet, please PM me for details

Haha, I hope so! I need as many as possible and Flt Lt Hale (if he is still a Flt Lt or even in the RAF) is just the man

I do remember his hair going a funny shade of orange once while he was QFI-ing at CWL. Much wearing of the SD hat as low as humanly possible ensued over the next couple of weeks....

I'm sure I saw him at High Wycombe about 18 months ago....

My fave story has to be the Mach 2 loop, peaking over 100,000' at the top.......

It was not 100,000 ft plus it was only 84,000 ft - bit of an off set/recovery loop when the 'Oh, my god' moment arrived going through the vertical on the way up.

Plenty of Ex Lighting chaps claim to have gone higher (Both much older and much younger than I) - they must still be around out there .
