Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Actually, it's been recalculated and the new result is 37 ... I've no idea if there is ANY aviation significance involved.

42 / 7 = 6

6 / 2 = 3

3 - 1 = 2

2 - 2 = 0

0 = the number of Civil Serpents working this afternoon.

7 x 9?
7 less than 7 x 8?

I thought the original number was 42...

I thought it was supposed to be the answer to the question it was asked just before someone asked it for the meaning of life. It just so happens that the first question was: What's 6 x 7?

Ex 42 Sqn Siggy, Smiley Mildwater got fed up with being a console operator in the C130K Sim at Lyneham so stood in a bye election in the days when you could get out of the military quickly by doing so. He was the "Save the 2CV" party. Guess how many votes he got - yep - 42!!!
Mid-Staffordshire - 22 Mar 90. He didn't mind losing his deposit, but the worst thing for him was we all found out he was really called Bernard!
