Can anyone confirm this question?

Sorry to bother you all,

I was wondering if anyone can confirm if the Eyesight requirements are the same for the RAF/RN?

RAF is 6/6 Uncorrected vision

RN???

I have recently taken an examination however i'm not sure which parameters are most important?

is it Uncorrected vision or Visual Acuity (or are they actually the same thing?)

I have found some PDF's and have seen the RN use a different scale to determine good enough eyesight which the PDF does not explain that well.

I do understand some other threads are related to this however i don't feel they answer my question fully.

I would much appreciate some input from fellow ppruners

Grrr

Not sure of the actual eyesight requirements. However, I can confirm that, as of 01 April 2009 the requirements have been unified across the three Services. Which set (Navy,Army or RAF) is now the benchmark or if there is a new requirement, I cannot tell you. Give OASC a ring, they will have the latest gen.

ALWAYS assume NEVER check
