Actually I quite like the idea of at least some of the family silver being flogged. I have been dealing in militaria for over 30 years now and have often heard muttered comments to the effect that "that should be in a museum, not on sale". The fact is most museums are awash with stuff, much of which never sees the light of day because of limits on display space. Also because of the trust status of museums, once an item has been donated it can normally never be resold, so the curators are virtually obliged it give it a home whether they want it or not. Items on the open market, however, have a tendency to pop up again from time to time as collectors die, change collecting interests, or simply have to pay the mortgage. There is certainly a place for museums, especialy where historically important items are concerned, but I dont think this applies to much of this stuff!

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could

To me it looks like One RT AFT TX Pod, part number HC539H0307, one LH AFT TX Pod, p/n HC539H307-006, and five contactors, p/n B-345LS

...But PN, they're blue and stencilled with "NOT FOR FLIGHT". Won't make much of a BANG. You could slap a drop of Brunswick Green on them then put them on the back of a 4 Tonner... quick trip down Whitehall, drop the tailgate, handbrake turn by Downing Street. It'll keep the feds amused for days.

Gotta go... black Omega just cruised past the front door....

Fraid it is! They belong to the Bucc Aircrew Association and I was the procurer! You can see them at the Yorkshire Air Museum if you don't believe me!
