Angel Airbus crashes into Hudson river.....

Bloody well done to that crew! It looks like all 155 POB have survived with only minor injuries and hypothermia, and I thought the life jackets were a waste of space.

To my limited knowledge, this is only the second successful water landing of passenger sized jet, where all walked (or swam) away - the first being the Nimrod off Kinloss. Can anyone correct me if I am wrong? He must have hit the water at a high(ish) alpha and at almost stall speed to avoid the engines acting as brakes and ripping the wings off.

Anyway, well done to US Airways and their crew selection process.

Just heard on Wogan - "I suppose the Captain will now be claiming a Guiness World Record for the most wing walkers!"

Big well done to the crew.
