Fuel Drums

Any fuellers in here? Especially any with experience of handling 55-gall drums.

Why? Well, the Baroness has to write a risk assessment and method statement for the movement of said items by forklift using the proper tongs/grabs or whatever.

Could anyone give her a start?

I'll burn a piano in your honour, honest!

Thanks, taxydual. Not enough bones, I'm afraid, as the BAS must be strong b@st@rds cos they do it all by hand.

The document made for a good read though.

What rat? Where?

ThreadBaron (top name by the way),

There's nothing tricky about doing risk assessments. Simply sit down and identify the hazards (dropped barrel, back injury, meteor strike) then state what mitigating factors you have in place (strops, safe working practices, staff training, NASA space laser etc).

Send me a pm if you need more help as I'm a safety engineer by trade.
