Afternoon all,
It's been a while since I've had anything that may be of interest to you all, but my first visit to RNAS Yeovilton since the demise of the SHAR may have changed that.
The main reason for the visit was to catch the delightful VAAC Harrier, present, apparently, for Shipboard Rolling Vertical Landing (SRVL) trials prior to a visit to Lusty in November.
The locals were quite busy too, making the most of the glorious autumn light.
Hope there's something of interest.

Good shots!
Merryfield, VL's satellite may be worth a visit for more RW stuff. Interesting history too - it was a D-Day mounting airfield for 101 Airborne Div.

Karl- cracking photos- it's been great hearing the Harrier around!
On the 20th (a VERY wet day)- just as I was leaving work (the exit being directly opposite the FAA Museum and the runway) the VAAC descended into a cloud of steam and water.
Cracking was all I could say.
Sadly- today was it's last day there.
