New robot destined for US forces

A very impessive if not frightening new gadget for lugging stuff around the battlefield.

Remarkable, although I do wonder how much someone must have paid to build a donkey?

Impressive beastie - looks like something out of Star Wars. Would question its endurance though. I wouldn't expect it could last for more than a few miles assuming its powered by a battery/fuel-cell.

How long before someone straps a chain gun to it? Now that would be worth seeing. It would have to adopt a brace position akin to a sheep being approached from behind by lovestruck Welsh farmer.

Unlike a donkey, you could strap explosives to it without upsetting the animal rights mob.

No spoof.

Many years ago I was high in the Pyrenees when a patrol came through with a GPMG and kit loaded on a mule. Mateys couldn't stop sniggering about the "advanced" Spanish Army until I suggested they carry it themselves.
