It contained fierce debate about the aftercare of service personel, some arguing for a care in specialist military centres, others arguing that existing NHS facilities were the best option.

Thanks for the links chaps, still not the one I'm afraid.
I'm not a journalist, I'm a nurse with the NHS, but I'm currently working on a project invovling the management of care for injured personel. I seem to remember reading a thread which debated the shortcomings in the current system.

The Government is committed to providing excellent medical care for the members of our armed forces. "Military hospitals" are no longer the best way to provide that care.

Humble apologies for casting you as a journo but they do all come different shapes and sizes. Try Salford University for background detail as their politics and military studies course has options on dealing with military trauma, also try Frontier Medical as they been recently trying to recruit staff for Afghanistan

Do you know if the military use "care pathways." (I'm more interested in clinical pathways rather than operational pathways.)
If so,on what are they based, which are the main areas of need, and are there any gaps?
