Without wishing to rain on anyone's parade, I've not seen a Tiffy airshow that has made my jaw drop
You should have been at RIAT a few years ago....

I think all the CC's of adrenalin.......and Stores holdings of Underwear, Aircrew, Typhoon Display Pilot, Long John's,...were well and truly used up after the early display manoeuvre of "Let's get as close to the ground as possible in full burner coming out of the vertical and see if we can scorch the runway"

Now, you naughty scamps, you'll regret your comments - enjoy the Typhoon while you still can back here in the UK.

Now that it's been declared truly multi-role, it'll be heading east before you know it.

Oh, hang on..........

Well done guys.

I have to say that I thought the Typhoon display at F'boro was outstanding. Great stuff.

Get a sense of perspective, I remember being impressed at airshows by a Buccaneer, and that struggled to turn inside the same county!

Yes that one was quite entertaining - the earth truly moved! As did people's bowels I'm sure. The paperwork made interesting reading! The real display was very good actually - bravo zulu. Having watched Typhoon a couple of times this year I've been quite impressed, but, in terms of it's ability to point its nose in a visual range arena, the Super Hornet looked to have better manoeuvrability. Before anyone else says it, admittedly that's not the point and I'm sure(hope) that in a BVR engagement the wonder-jet will water over almost everyone else's parade. But the Hornet still looks very impressive; however, all the gear, no id....

I was quite impressed... especially with it managing to hold formation on the Spitfire in the last photo whilst in reverse gear!

Excellent pictures. I personally didn't like this display at Waddington as the Typhoon naturally roared out the beautiful noise of the Griffon engine. Hard to sell a Spitfire to my 4 and 5 year olds when a current generation fighter is displaying next to it but there you go.

I must say i agree with this threads title as i have never really seen a Tyhoon display that looks anyhting other than, well sterile. A few years back at Farnborough, an F16 display pilot put his through a demo that was roll pitch vortices and noise from begining to end. Even the Flanker display pilot said it was the best display he had ever seen, from a Flanker display pilot!!!!

As for the current Reds display it is without doubt the best i have seen for years, especially of what i have seen displayed abroad.

Just my view
