Some might say that Tucano + TCAS > AOC 1 Gp's lookout! Good work whoever it was!

(p.s. assume it was a slashing guns kill, or the tonka was pootling along way too slow!)

Someone needs to tell the AOC to motor his seat up higher.

Oh, sorry he already had it as high as it goes.

A kill's a kill!

As the Hawk driver realised when I got inside his turn and tracked him quite nicely......from one of HM's mighty Bulldogs.

Ahmmm No, I'm not, I'm not involved with any air training corps, or any military for that matter. I'm just a military aircraft fan I'm affraid. Maybe in the next life. =)

Are you? May I ask? =)

Did the Tucano pilot yell 'DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA' over the R/T?

Hmmm,

as with any 'Guns' kill........ it's not (Unless it's a real one), until a QWI or qualified instructor has reviewed the tape on the ground....... (Red Flag.... no tape, no kill?)

I hope Tuc Boy kept his tapes........... Otherwise, it's just 'aggressive pointing'!!!

Good Skills for trying....... next time don't waste radio time tho

I must say it's a while since I left the cockpit but I didn't realise that Tucanos and VC10s had guns!

Sharpen up, Soddim! Beags has already said he nabbed the Hawk from his Bulldog, whilst impressing the hell out of the young grad at UAS, no doubt!!

Of course, that's now an excuse for Beags to regale us all with other derring do from the mighty FunBus!

Well actually, since you mentioned the FunBus......

OK then, I won't. Wouldn't do to embarrass the defenders of the Malvinas with tales of certain target runs on an 8/8 blue day some years ago.

And it isn't really a kill until some QWI has anguished over the images with his scoring jobber and murmured comments like "Range...track...range...track...out of range!"

EOSM37, use the knife drawer, I would suggest!

Now, about the many times on Vulcans.....OK, OK - enough's enough!

Is that the same Biddy, former directional consultant and one time member of the oldest fixed wing sqn in the RAF?

Now see what you've done johnfairr. Just because I overlooked the fact that Beags was in his gun-armed Bulldog, you've now got him telling all his war stories!
