Rescue 128

Surely Rescue 128 is a Sea King (looks like a seaking) based at Leconfield

Could that be the same yellow Sea King that flew over Nottingham last (Saturday) night?

Leconfield

Can't be pictures taken AT Leconfield, the Pongo's haven't fed it up by putting road signs and roundabouts on the runway.

When I was a lad, as big as my dad I used to go there as Timothy Potter, plane spotter and watch REAL aeroplanes, esp. when 5 & 11 sqns were temporarily displaced from Binbrook.

At an ATC weekend camp there I got winched up into a Whirlwind which was pretty exciting stuff to a 13 year old.

I also remember when the take over was being discussed it was noted that the Guard room had "nowhere near enough cells" for the incoming learner drivers ! How right they were !

Happy days.

Blimey - the lads have modified that Puma one hell of a lot! Quite some effort to get all that body kit on it and paint it 'boy-racer Saxo yellow'.

Do you think they have a really big set of speakers in the back for some bass?

Mr Hinecap,
Are they not the speakers over the crews heads? Cant see a 'Steve n Tracy' sun visor though? "Is it?"
It does look very much like the aircraft in the Thales advert for a Sim Inst doe! The one that's continually popping up on this board!

I call your 'Wah'!

Anyway, how could it be a puma - they were all replaced by Merlins last year.

fish

Oops! When I heard everyone saying 'Seaking', I thought they ment 'seeking' as in 'looking for' as it was a search and rescue plane.

Jumpseater,
Have you considered seeking a career in the BBC Picture Library?

BTW, Pumas only do trainers, no SAR.

Making sure the droop stops go in when shutting down and manning the fire extinguisher on start up.
