The wing/fuselage design of the B-52 is such that it takes off and lands with the fuselage at a flat, level attitude, the wing being angled upwards. This is a result of the four main gears being in tandem and requiring to leave and contact the ground at the same time.
Hence, when then the wing is trimmed for level flight, the fuselage is canted slightly downwards.

I hope to fk they can find Waddington next Saturday; like church fetes, one airfield looks very much like another.
What concerns me though is the prospect of the B-52 confusing Waddington & Wickenby and attempting to land at the latter..
