Apaches over Suffolk today

Two Apache at low level over A14 just east of Bury St.Edmunds around 1455hrs today heading towards Gt Ashfield. Nice to see you both.

Both That means two serviceable Well done to the chaps who keep them going.

Funny. It only takes me about half an hour to drive from Bury St Edmunds to Wattisham...

Must be speeding or something.

We live directly under one of their regular training areas. Personally they're an absolute pleasure to see, and by the number that we see servicability doesn't seem to be too much of an issue.

No that recent chinook report on the other had

Surely thou doth jest? Wattisham is main operating location for Apache in UK.

Not an ex Tech, but have had a couple of chats with people in the know. however, spares provision has already been discussed in public domain.

Just a civvie here, raising head above parapet to express appreciation/admiration for our forces.

Good to see, but nothing really unusual as they often use another airfield close to Bury St Edmunds.
