Remembering our armed forces

Hi folks,

http://www.scarborougheveningnews.co...ectionid=12599

Just heard of this on Talk Sport.

Good on them.

Any of you guys who sub to ARRSE - could you possibly post it there too, please.

In the USA returning servicemen get loads of recognition and shop discounts etc.
That should be happening widespread here too.

Cheers

Remembrance

Yesterday,4th June, the Shackleton Association dedicated a memorial to the Shackleton and it's people. Very impressive. The stone is surrounded by trees commemorating Coastal Squadrons. The Raf site is large and the whole Arboretum worth a visit. The Memorial stones on the top of the hill have the names of all those servicemen who have died since the end of WW2. I did not realise that we had lost so many, and it is ongoing .....!!!
