Please help

Though you may think it strange, someone posting a request on spam text messages in PPRUNE, it does have a tenuous link.

For some time i have been getting News Release alert text messages from "23533420141501". All of them are RAF oriented and co-incide with National breifings. Some are delivered at 0000 with an embargo on. Others random throughout the day. The latest was today at 1200hrs, and contained, "MoD announces intent to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the First World War armistice". There are no instructions on how to stop them. Does anyone here have a contact in the press office who issue these texts whom i can contact to get my number removed??

TIA.

Usually replying via text "STOP" will help, if not try contacting them direct.

Tried texting "STOP" already to no avail. The number isn't a valid line. I think it is a computerised system.

My Service Provider cannot do anything unless they get a lot of reports (O2). I am sure that the sender is supposed to add a STOP command function into this kind of service. Might have a chat with OFCOM.
