Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Thanks boys!

Thumbs up Thanks boys!

There I was, right-side up, waiting at the hold for 29 at Headcorn when 'Hurricane - (numbers)' called up to do a fly-by en route to Lydd. Sure enough, along came not just the Hurri but the Spit too. And not just a fly-by:the Hurri performed a nice dipped wing for salute for me (yes MEEE!! - there was no one else at the hold - except my instructor who was there too!)

They left a stude PPL with an even bigger grin on his face than usual.......even if it did make me cock-up some of my vital actions!

Great to see them al fresco at an airfield and from another cockpit....even a lowly C152!!

Addendum: Apparently they were on their way to Lydd to refuel en route to Laarbruch.
