You cant have anything with a Royal title here ,you may offend a bunch of terrorist scum i.e. half the NI "government" ,getting pushed out of the UK bit by bit.Even our SAR cover is mainly provided by the Irish Coastguard since 72 left.Only RAF aircraft left will be 664VGs two Vigilants.

And don't forget the Police Superintendants in that part of the UK who wear stars instead of crowns for their badges of rank .....

Is this another attempt by the MOD for a low cost Tiger Meet at Benson?

Personally I rejoice at the fact that I wont have to be posted back to a part of the UK inhabited by bigots who still have 2 bus stops (one for catholics and one for protestants) within 100 yds of each other. Good riddance to the lot of you. Bye.

Now thats going to be a tight squeeze to get the frames and personell in at Benson. Hard enough to accomodate 2 Sqns, an OEU and UAS, then 78 arrived, and now this. Good luck P.L!

No doubt some bright spark has already decided to concentrate the Merlin fleet at Culdrose, making room for 230...

sorry - I couldn't resist since Northern Ireland is such a bad place, I thought i'd take it closer to Mr Burns.

Please do not suggest the Freedom of Belfast / Omagh / Enniskillen , for it would be a major pain in the ass.

They went and did the job they were sent to do. There were good times and bad, and shortly they will go. Say "Farewell" or even "Thanks", but let them go.

"There's an OEU at Benson?"

Yep, they hide away upstairs in the Sim Building.

As for there being no space at Benson, I'm sure people wouldn't complain too much if they were put up in hotels in Henley ..... especially with the summer approaching. Not sure whether or not you'd get them into work on time - if at all - but it's a solution that would be good for morale.

And after all, the Booties set a precedent with their Travelodge episode
