A400 M Big blades
flight-test programme involving the 11,000 shp turboprop recently installed together with its 5.5m-diameter propeller on a C-130 Hercules test bed at Marshall Aerospace UK.
'kin HUGE !!!! - The J prop (13ft 6ins) is about the same diameter as the K seen here ...
(The "gap" between prop tip and fuselage on one side, and prop tip/prop tip the other is not very big at all ...... )

Be nice to have one of those pitchlock at fine pitch!!!
Anybody here actively involved with it ?Cockpit looks too much like an airliner,3 pedals , and a tray, for heavens sake !!Still,co-pilots can get their 3 meals on there,at the same time! Can you get Sky on those screens? No windows in the roof....obviously not a very tactical viewpoint..but then few of the designers/builders send their troops into `danger`...does it have ESF perchance ?question asked 21/04/2008,for the attention of MOD.......Syc.

C130 Props
The C130A had Aeroproducts 3 blade 15' diameter props. Most were eventually changed to Hamilton-Standard 4 blade 13'6" diameter props. As far as I am aware the last Aeroproducts equipped C130A still flying is operated by Earl Cherry in the USA. (ex RAAF A97-212 now N131EC) Earl uses it to transport palm trees for his Nursery business and also used for parachuting sorties.
