I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but I just heard that (I presume) XV squadron are going to flying a formation of 9 aircraft around the UK today?
Anyone got anymore details?

That'll presumably be 56 from the secret Scottish airbase doing the Firebirds' Swan Song; (see 16 posts below)

Saw them flying past Perth around 1015 this morning. Looks like they had a Hawk with them.

Perhaps the Hawk is along as a Pathfinder: - looking out for un-NOTAMed Golf Events, and to count the number of people in the crowd ? !!!

Or maybe, just maybe, it's Willy Wales getting in some much needed flying practice, so he can see where the golf courses are.

I am sure one can fit one's golf clubs in the rear of a Chinook, and have room for a nice little golf cart, when one wants to play golf.
