Stud 4 1/2

Can anyone from Lossie tell me why you have a stud "4 and a half" and the story, if any, behind it?

Just puzzled as heard it mentioned when I visitied north of the border with camera in hand.

Thanks clicker

Just a discreet area freq for Lossie jets in operating in the moray bowl. Gives them a quiet stud, but ATC can pass pertinate information.

Not as sneeky, or magically Harry Potterish as it sounds...

The half bit is because it's approach who give the "service" - the quotes for a deliberate reason - do they provide a service as the dictionary defines service?!
