UAE Buy Airbus Tankers

DefenseNews:UAE To Buy Airbus Multirole Tanker Aircraft

Paris - The United Arab Emirates announced Feb. 25 the purchase of Airbus A330 multirole tanker and transport (MRTT) aircraft from EADS' Military Transport Aircraft division, the European company said in a statement.

An EADS spokesman declined to say how many aircraft were bought or the value of the order on grounds of client sensitivity. It is understood the UAE authorities were buying three MRTT aircraft, a similar number bought by Saudi Arabia.

The air tankers will be equipped with a centerline air refueling boom and two underwing pods with hose and drogue equipment................

Tonks,

They have the three things that the c***s in the so called Government will not give HM Forces, 1. an appreciation of the world and its potential conflict problems and 2. the most important MONEY and last but no means least 3. they are not governed by a gang of snivelling waste of space, educationalists, social workers and scum lawyers who disgrace the the term Government and have no appreciation of the implications and consequences of sending men and women to war.

The UAE have an appreciation of where they and more importantly where they are going and what threats are on their doorstep hence the purchase of three tankers. Do not be surprised if they do not order more.

The Oxfordshire and Wiltshire Coroner's have made their views very plain indeed, and long may they continue to do so.

In the last point, these are people who despise the concept of service and honour and has been quoted by a journalist ( yes I know you hate them) our relationship with them should be as a dog and a lamp-post, us being the dogs.

I am just getting my coat, as the black omega has just pulled up outside.

Rant mode off !!

The UAE F-16s (Block 60) meant they had to have the boom.
