Aren't these usually published on the 1st or 2nd? Can't find them anywhere. Anyone else found them, or are they only available on JPA now?

The list usually gets onto the RAF part of the MOD website a few days after the new year, and is published online in the London Gazette around about the same time. The SDO ought to get a copy, hence the tradition in some bases of sticking a copy up on the Officers' Mess noticeboard to kick-start conversation amongst those coming in for a drink on 1 Jan...
In theory, the list shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone on it. However, with busy desk officers, the end of Blue Letters and the (long overdue) move to substantively promoting selectees in the July and Jan lists after the board - not Jan and July, as it used to be - there have been the odd case of someone coming in to work to find out that they're impersonating a junior officer. It happened to a friend of mine doing a long course prior dual-ranked APET post; as his promotion to sqn ldr wouldn't change his forthcoming posting, the DO hadn't bothered to mention it to him, and his written notification had apparently gone astray.

Ox - He is a good bloke and, I think, deserves it. In fact I think some of the 'best' snr officers I know were once Baldricks. Most of the worst were not.
Plenty of them to see around here too....

I wish I knew how to quote properly on here. Anyway...

Yes I know he is, we arrived in the same section on the same day at BZN in 2001 and have met him since then too.

Nothing new here, most of this lot have held the rank since at least March 07! Good to see it is the usual mix of threaten to PVR, nice bloke but quite dim and playground bullies that have been picked up.
Although there are a few people in there who damn well deserve it!

PCD - Of course not, but I doubt it would have kept me in anyway. I did get told this year that I probably won't ever get promoted because I tell the truth too often - whatever that means....
Would be proud to see your name on the next rung though; you are, sir, one of the good guys. Can you believe Sqn Ldr Stutch? Doesn't seem like that long ago we were teaching him low lvl Nav on the floors in York House!

D-IFFy old boy, you say the kindest things
but you've got no chance of seeing me on any more lists! The next time I say "Happy New Year" it will be as Mr PlasticCabDriver.
I have to say i'd forgotten about Stuch and the low level, so much of that course fades into time and alcohol induced memory loss. Can still remember the permanent bright red curry vomit stain between the lino and the walls in the toilet in that annex though! And the twins.
Good times. Shame it's not still like that.
