New helicopter for the RAF

Judging by the phot on the 'next steps' page, it would seem the RAF has acquired some deep water capability from the RN.

Obviously keen to maintain some type of ASW capability, as Nimrod 2000 is rapidly becoming Nimrod 3000.

Almost on a par with the NVG shot of the KC-10 on the Tristar page of "Aircraft and Weapons of the RAF" glossy widget!

No, just a subtle notification that the RAF is preparing to "accept" control of all fixed-wing military aviation assets... and to operate Nimrod just like the RAF Coastal Command did the ASW patrol planes in WW2.
