Frank Gardner

Just finished reading the autobiography of BBC's Middle East correspondent Frank Gardner, 'Blood & Sand'. Not only an inspiring read in overcoming adversity (he was shot and paralysed) but excellent insight into the Islamic world and Terrorism.
Thoroughly recommend it.

He came and spoke to us at the College of knowldege this week.

Utterly, utterly brilliant, I have nothing but respect for him. The longest applause so far on the course.

SC I agree, utterly brilliant. An outstanding and insightful presentation which, unlike some (!), only reinforced his credibility. For a man who has clearly gone through so much to still have such an objective and balanced view is a joy to see.
