Continuing the laser-light show theme, back in 2003 Buck House had similar treatment.....................

If were doing things projected onto buildings, any chance someone can post the one of Gail Porter on Parliament?

Re that second photograph...

This Is The Voice Of The Mysterons. We Know You Can Hear Us, Puny Air Defenders. Our Massed Forces Will Attack One Of Your Feeble Type 93 Radars... Pardon? Say That Again? What Do You Mean 'take The Geriatric Heap Of Junk, We Might Get Another T101 Instead'?

Huh. Well If That's Your Attitude, We're Off.

Hmm, evidently PPRuNe doesn't like posts in ALL CAPS. (But a short string like that gets through.)

T102 more like, though rumour has it there are problems with the new design, maybe better to have more standard T101's, though it will need real techies to fix it, instead of souped up peanuts.

A good way to do a big red nose that the IPT can not say no to though!!!!

Guy who gave me the gen on T102 Problem does have a habit of talking complete poo, however he did claim this info came for a CIS Tech type guy in the RAF Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire area who would be in the loop on said equipment.

Does anybody operate the Commander SL in its T102 configuration already? Or is it something new that the RAF is going to be the Guinea Pig on?

Anybody who knows anything about radar knows the best raw picture was on the Type 80, With jamming, different story, however.

Ahh the Type 80 B Site RAF Bishops Court Killard Point. Used to get some cracking mushrooms growing in the fields around it, with a view to die for. That was of course in the days of Ulster Radar and me but a mere SAC. They don't make em like that any more...

Nope, it's a shiny new system for the RAF. Well, as I understand it, BAE built/designed the radar and then had to find a customer for it - enter RAF.

So in other words its going to be like the Type 90, RAF can have the first ones to find out what don't work cause somebody at BAe (Plessey/ ITT/ Marconni and others from the old days) did their calculations of equipment capability and mean time between failure on the back of a Fag packet.

I couldn't possibly comment.

And no, I don't work for BAE.

T102 will not be deployable. It's not in the requirement.
