NO DUFF - Urgent Msg, Ex Forces & Arrse member in trouble (Help needed)
Mrs G won a hamper (she never wins anything), but then felt guilty 'cos we don't really need it.
I said, "Ok, enjoy the goodies, and giva bit to charity". Perfect timing eh?
£50 quid lighter, and feel great about it.
Great idea AARSE-men.
CG
who remains convinced that against the odds, many, many people actually give a ****.

Guys if people are true to their pledges we are very close if not through the 5k mark.
I've spoken to some grown ups at Sellyoak and they are crying out for laptops, games consuls DVD etc.
If you have a buckshee / unwanted one, I can provide and address to forward to......
Games, DVDs, uwanted Laptops all gratefulyl received and I will personally deliver then to ensure they get where they are needed and not lost in an admin vortex.
Alternativley please keep donating, we've got a few people negotiating discounts with retailers and providers to ensure we get the max for the monies.
Thanks again folks....... A fantastic reminder that being a one time member of the forces is by far the best insurance policy you could ever carry.
Warm regards
Chris

Ex Mil appalled at the treatment of our service personnel especially those injured and have donated through Lloyd's bank. A thread I hope the press gets their hands on to show up the lies of compassion the government spout.

The chap in question has no wish to appear in the press, his self pride has taken a pummeling of late.
If the press want to get involved with the providing of Laptops for Sellyoak and Headingly etc, then thats fantastic, providing they don't take a pound of flesh along the way.

Gentleman Aviator
£25 inbound - I'm with Lloyds myself so it should get there tomorrow.
I know we shouldn't have to, but is there scope for an ARRSE/PPRUNE/GOAT/RR charity for these things??
Teeters (a very grateful Headley "grad" from a previous unpleasantness - fortunately when we still had RAF Hospitals ...... )

Looking into that now, with a website etc
In the meantime please, if you have any games consuls, buckshee games or a laptop PM me and I'll fwd an address to send to.
Alternatively please any spare wonga you might have, chuck it in the pot, its all going towards purchasing equipment for the homecoming and recovering casualties.

£20 paypalled re the Shackleton thread as promised, with a lump in my throat that an ex-forces man should be let down by the very system he fought for. Atrocious.
