805 Sqn RAN

(RAN OFFICIAL)
Just thought this was interesting.
What once was and what will (probably) never be.
The A-4 is from the RAN Fleet Air Arm museum, its an A-4B modified to and recently repainted in VF805 Sqn markings to represent RAN A-4G '882' which crashed at Nowra in RNZAF service, with tragic results.
The Seasprite is one of 11 ordered by the RAN in 1997. Despite a $billion budget blowout not one helo has reached IOC. The outgoing Defence Minister wanted them scrapped last year but was overuled. I belive this particular helo is yet to fly.
