"Power of The Planet"

Did nobody watch it last night? Some good film of the South African Lightnings going up to silly altitudes.

Yes, Mrs G and I watched it, and thought of one or two people who would be only too pleased to climb into that cockpit again!

Also, a very good lesson on World Climatology, I thought. Especially those South American Cu-Nimbs, which I have spent some exciting moments trying not to explore the insides of too closely!

One did for the film......

The black T.5 carrying the cameraman was being flown by the RAF's 'last' Lightning pilot, Ian Black.

Thunder City

Was it the Lightnings from Thunder City? My 71 year old father had a trip in one of their Hunters a couple of days ago, he can't take the smile of his face.
