258 Group Captains, ok so that’s 1 per station – 58 stations according to the RAF website, but some of them, have an air rank in charge, some a Wing Co and some are satellites, Mona etc, so lets say 40 stations with a Group Captain (A very rough guess). 1 Groupie to carry each air officers bags, that’s another 119 so what are the other 81 doing, apart from costing us a fortune. And as for 82 Air Cdre’s ….. don’t’ get me started.
PS. How many Air ranks are still drawing massive pensions from when we actually had an air force?
