Thumbs up Remembrance Service - National Memorial Arboretum

Have just returned from the service. It was a bitterly cold day but what a wonderful event. Thanks to all who made it so and especially to the crews of the Nimrod and the BBMF Dakota for their flypasts. Perfect.

yes,it's true he was in uniform!!!

my flabber was gasted!...honorary role blah blah!!!

i wanted to be at the arboreteum but couldn't get up there as hubby wouldn't go.

instead i went to the local memorial held my little girls hand a bit too tight and the crosses we had for bob were laid there instead. i was so proud of her, cold and fed up and with a crumple faced, soggy mum she did her best, even managing for once to write in a small space on the cross for bob.

oops, i'm off again!

i'm so very proud of you all.

keep the faith!

Just seen a picture of the service on Sunday at the Armed Forces Memorial. Nice to see that the sun came out at the appropriate moment so that the 2 slits in the walls could be used for their design pupose. Nice one by the architects/designers.
