Defence Procurement Debate

Flicking through the channels on a digibox, I happened across the tail end of BBC Parliament's live coverage of the defence procurement debate. The House was almost entirely empty, lacking any party leaders, finance types and, as noted in the Tory summation, the Secretary of State for Defence. While I didn't see the whole thing I did note that Mr Twigg, summating for the Government, made no mention of Tornado sqn reductions, Fleet size reductions or the abolition of DESO, all of which were raised in the debate and the last of which he was pressed on.
Obviously I have no comment to make or opinion to express on matters of party political controversy, merely reporting certain facts.
