Remembrance Day Parades

Due to various Councils placing obstructions in the way of Parades, a petition to Downing Street is here, if you would care to sign. Thanks.

Signed, although Mr Young might have wished to check his spelling prior to submission:

"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to issue to all local, dirstrict and county councils a directive for the support of Pulic Acts of Rememberance. "

If Mr Young had to make a spelling mistake, it is fortunate that it was:

... support of Pulic Acts of Rememberance
That could easily have been 'Pubic Acts', certainly a sight to behold.

No thats ok mate.

Its a hard life and certainly not for everyone thats for sure. But if you could have stuck it out for just a little bit longer, I'm sure you'll have seen things get a bit easier. Not much, granted.. but it all helps.

duly signed and will spread the word.

what is this world coming too?
how on earth are we ever going to continue to teach society that we must never forget if we are not allowed to show how proud we are of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and the men and women who continue to give themselves unreservedly to a life in the armed forces.

keep the faith

Rememberance

It seems local authorities are jumping on the bean counting waggon, my local authority (Wear Valley) wanted to charge The British Legion for the total cost of coning of 100 yard of road, for a 30 minute service.
