I therefore commuted on a weekly basis, a distance of about 150 miles each way. I went to claim MMA but was told I was not entitled to claim any motor mileage at all as it was about 5 miles short of the required distance, according to the distance calculated by admin.
This is like a case some years back (20) when my Sgt was in receipt of sepal. A few months in some bright spark reassessed his claim and decided he was not living far enough away. Their first stab at correcting this was to take it all from his pay in one month!
He did not drive and lived in Durham. His journey home by train was passed Durham to Newcastle and then a local train south again.
