BRILLIANT.
The Beeb just had a 4 minute feature about MP Stephen Purnell being airbrushed into an NHS photo...So this is news. The claim was "he has misled the public". Come on.
Our returning lads from sandy places, or worse still, those who have perished still only merit a mere 30 seconds...
WHAT IS GOING ON?
Why, oh why do we still stand for this cr@p...
HELP!!!

The reason that the BBC are so keen on this story about 'misleading the public' is because Purnell gently criticised dear old Auntie Beeb for misleading the licence payers (which, to be fair to Purnell, is what you'd perhaps expect the culture secretary to do). However, Purnell was once head of corporate planning at the Beeb, so not only has he dared to level some mild criticism, he's bitten the hand that once fed him.

Naturally enough, this means that the Beeb is now relishing the chance to take early revenge upon him for supposedly misleading the public.

Hard to believe that the BBC would be that petty, I know...

I still think it's @rse. I'm not suggesting we all go aroung whistling "I Vow To Thee My Country"...I just feel strongly it's a shift of priorities from the media that's required. Maybe exactly the same thing occured during the Vietnam War...

Nothing at all! I often whistle The Planets. Whilst selecting which one I'm going to send my favourite politician to. Head first .....

Can we start to use " I vow to thee my country" (better remove the middle verse though) as a national anthem and get rid of the racist chant we use now?
