(a little light humour) ... we have four already!

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/mm?ie=...3&t=h&z=8&om=1

Just zoom in to max, no scrolling.

Aye but two of them are based a bit far inland.

Could they get as far as the coast with a useful fuel load on board still?

OK, I've tried the link 3 times and got 3 different results - a field near Finningley, somewhere east of Sleaford Tech and the Dogger Bank!!! What are we looking at please?

Tried it a fourth time and there they are! Is this an attempt at the UK's most remote air museum? Bet it was a squeeze getting them down that lane. Where did the 104 come from? Presume the Draken was an ex Austrian job?

If this is the place I'm thinking of (Grainthorpe), the Draken is an ex-Danish example

F-35 Draken A-011 (SAAB A35XD c.n. 35.1011). Based at Karup from 11. Jan. 1971 (4:00 flying hours), till 1. Sep. 1993 (3.046:00 flying hours). RDAF 725 Sqn. Exchanged for Sikorsky S-55C "884", now restored and displayed at Stauning. http://www.flymuseum.dk/fly/flytekst/s-55.php

Good to see a Danish draken preserved in old "Danelaw" Viking country

Nice picture!!!

They are my mum`s uncle`s planes. They are a great sight when you happen to drive past. You certainly cant miss them. He also has an ejection seat in his garage.

My mistake, I thought you must mean this one

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...wloc=addr&om=1

Note the late model MRCA to the west of the front gate and the real
Multi Role Combat Aircraft to the east.

I notice also that the SWO has just washed his car

gar170,

The link you posted is the same as the one for the aircraft in Lincs. On Google Maps you have to find the box at the top right which says "Link to This Page", click that and it'll give you the details you want.

Is this the area you meant?

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF...8454&z=18&om=0

- it's a fascinating place to spend the morning, being bombarded by 5.5s and seeing the effects through the blast-proof glass.

Is the garage liable to flame out at low altitude?

Are they looking for someone to fly them?. I'm sure they are instinctive to start up and take off. Not like the toys of today. Now where is the Battery switch...?

Ive often had a full garage flame out when flying it. He had a hell of a job getting a permit to fly, must be something to do with the weight and balance.
