Australia to buy the C27J

The latest issue (down here anyway) of AirForces indicates that the RAAF will buy the C27.

This coupled to the seventy odd that the US armed forces are to buy, should give a reasonable production run.

RAAF apparently preferred the C27 to the C295, and one of the reasons was some interchange with the C130J.

Was also indicated that the RAAF ( and I believe the RAF) are not wrapped in the lack of field support from Lockheed. How anyone could be so stupid in todays age of consumers expecting back up, is beyond me.

Any one have any more info

Regards
